Mirror work everywhere — on the walls, the lehenga, the ceiling of the smallest courtyard. It made metering a nightmare and the photographs better than they had any right to be.
Dev’s grandmother took the floor at eleven and stayed there past one.
The sangeet was the whole wedding in miniature: uncles with rehearsed choreography, cousins with none, and a grandmother who needed neither. We shot it handheld, wide, moving with the circle rather than standing outside it.
