A morning in their flat with two eleven-month-olds, which is to say a morning of waiting. No lights, no direction, nothing moved out of frame. The best pictures happened while everyone was ignoring us.
Same people, new stories. That is the whole reason we do this.
We keep every frame we have ever shot for this family in one archive. Somewhere in it is a photograph of Priyanka at her mehendi in 2016, aged twenty-six, and one of her holding her daughter this December. We think about that pair often.
